Notre maison

Our home is a large victorian house, built in the 1890's. It is over three floors, plus a cellar which we use as utility room, wine cellar, workshop etc.
The house overlooks St Andrews park, which is beautiful (its why we brought the house).
We have a garden with a large wooden climbing frame, trampoline & swings at the bottom.
From the back you can see the hot air ballons going past in the evening.
We have 5 bedrooms, although one of these is normally used an an office. The living room overlooks the park and is very relaxing. We still have many original features with original fireplaces and stained glass

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a family with two remarkable well behaved children aged 16 and 15, I am a project manager, and my wife is an art teacher. I have lived in Bristol for over 20 years. This was after visiting for a weekend and never leaving! I love my city and home and we have done several house swaps (have a read of our recommendations). We are looking to exchange with people with children if possible, and are also interested in weekend swaps in the UK

The St Andrews area of Bristol is based around the park. It is ~12acres, and has childrens play area, paddling pool, lots of trees, and in the summer people juggling fire and walking on stilts!
Our neighbours are friendly and helpful.
Nearby is The Gloucester road, it has excellent bars, restaurants and cafes and a high number of independent shops.
Bristol is in the south west of England, ~40 minutes from Bath, and 2 hours from London. It is famous for Brunel (Victorian Engineer, voted the second greatest Britain ever after Churchill), as well as the Clifton bridge, the SS Great Britain and Temple Meads, all built by Brunel by the way.
It was recently voted the best city to live in the UK If you live here you know why
Bristol is close to the countryside, and not far from Cheddar gorge and the coast and some excellent surfing (although the best beaches are an hour or two drive away).
There is lots to see and do with attractions, walking and history.
