En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am a 52 year old single guy who has a little time to travel and do what I like best: visit the old country Europe and blend among the locals. (I also love NYC!) In that sense I most centainly hate hotels, they are so sterile and cold. Apart from English and Spanish, I speak some Italian and French, enough to 'farmi capire' or 'me faire comprendre'. A non simultaneous exchange is possible since I have somewhere else to go while my home is being accupied. This would be my first home exchange, and I hope something good comes out of it.

Old San Juan is the oldest city in North America and has been restored and converted into a nearly museum-like environment. But the city is plenty alive, with lots of night spots that cater mainly to the young and the "in crowd". Old San Juan is definitely "the place" for gourmet dining, with more than 20 first class haute cuisine restaurants situated mostly in the southernmost streets, near the cruiseship piers and the shopping district. My building, on the other hand, is situated in the purely residential part of this old city, meaning that the area is very tranquil. Old San Juan is completely walkable; in fact, the use of a car is not recommended. There is a public transportation hub within walking distance from my home, and a taxi station equally near. A short public bus ride (75 cents) will take you to the Condado strip and its famous beaches.
