Notre maison

Our building was totally renovated before we moved in 11 years ago, keeping the old style with very thick walls and wooden floor. It is located in a very quiet street with almost no traffic.
The apartment has two rooms with double beds. The third room which is our office, full of books!
We have a piano in the living room where it is also possible to sleep in the couch.
The kitchen has a door to the garden. It is quite nice to have our meals outside in the "conservatory".
In summer time we lift up the plastic walls and it becomes a spacious deck!
There is an hamac to relax while listening to the birds.
We have a cat that can either stay in the house or go on vacation to a friend's house.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Zé Júlio and Sofia. We both are musicians and we studied Communicaton Sciences at the same University back in 81. Zé Júlio is a composer and artistic director of a contemporary music orchestra. He also has a PhD and teaches at University. I play the recorder as a free lancer but mainly I work as a conference interpreter, which I love. We have a 16 year old daughter, Leonor. We have done some exchanges already and we think it is an exciting way to visit other places.

We live in the center of Lisbon in a very quiet old quarter. Around is full of live with museums and theaters within a 10 minute walk. The opera house and Chiado are around the corner. In the morning you can go to the bakery for fresh bread. There is a small supermarket and a fruit and vegetable shop within walking range.
At hand there are two nice public gardens plus the Botanical Garden. If you walk 15 minutes you can go to Rossio, Baixa or Rato.
We like it here very much...and hope you will like it too.
