Notre maison

Our home is yards from the Caribbean Sea and right on a beautiful, small lake. You can breakfast on the balcony and swing in a hammock as the warm breeze relaxes you. There is a never-ending show of birds visiting the lake. The gardens around the house are home to butterflies and hummingbirds and the jungle in back has a family of howler monkeys and scores of wild parrots high up in the trees. The home has an open lay-out with 28 foot ceiling, granite and stainless steel, state of the art kitchen and a huge master suite with a four-poster bed. We have cable TV and Internet. We will provide a gardener to maintain the grounds during your visit.

Stan and I are originally from Portland, Oregon. We retired and built a home here where life is very relaxed and we live in a beautiful natural setting. Our family is in the Portland area and we like to go back during the summer months. We are also interested in traveling to other parts of the world. See our story at the Homepage.

Bocas Del Toro is an island about 20 miles from the Costa Rican border. Our home is in Big Creek, which is about 1 and 1/2 miles from the town of Bocas Del Toro where there are grocery stores, restaurants, schools, parks, shopping, Kuna Indian crafts and an airport. This is a great place to bicycle as there is little automobile traffic. There are boat rentals and water taxi's that will take you to wonderful places like Dolphin Bay where the Dolphins play in the wake of your boat. The coral reefs are beautiful and perfect for snorkeling. There is also scuba diving, swimming and surfing, fishing, as well as sail-in restaurants and marinas. The airport has direct flights to Costa Rica, David and Panama City for sight-seeing. Dress code here is strictly shorts and sandals.
