Notre maison

Luxurious, new penthouse apartment with large roof terrace (33 square meters) with hot tub. Elevator. Prime location in one of the best neigbourhoods of central Oslo. Yet quiet, facing a large, green area in the back of the building. 10 minute walking distance to downtown Oslo with all the attractons - the Oslo fjord harbour, the museums, the world famous Vigeland Sculpture park and the Munk art museum etc. The apartment is furnished with a combination of tasteful old and new furniture and art, but with a conscious Scnadinavian contemporary design. The property has a glass facade covering one side of the entire apartment - very bright and appealing. Two French balconies, a large master bedroom, two smaller (childrens') bedrooms, one bathroom with two sinks, shower, toilet. Separat toilet in the hallway, an open kitchen solution adjacent to the living room. Stairways up to a small office, with entrance to a great roof terrace (5th floor) - with views over the city. First class, high end stereo and TV equipment/DVD. All amenities, dinner table for 8 people. High speed internet connection, cable TV. At least one car is availiable, two or three hybrid/off road bycycles, four children's bycycles in various sizes.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I'm a television documentary producer (47) with two kids, girl 13 and boy 12, and my girlfriend is a lawyer (39) with 2 boys, aged 5 and 8. She has her own semi attached house just outside Oslo, to the west, and since we are all going for a vacation together, it would be possible to include her house (modern, 3 bedrooms, small garden) as part of the exchange deal as well. We have both travelled extensively in Europe, North America and Asia. I have lived and studied 4 years in Canada. My girlfriend has lived one year in New York City. We have never tried this exchange before, but a friend has done it twice and was very happy with the experience. We are looking for a sunny holiday experience in south of Europe, preferably Corse in France, other parts of France close to the sea, the Spanish or Italian coast, or one of the Greek islands. We will also consider properties close to the sea in Denmark and Sweden.

Localisation

Quartier

The apartment is located in one of the most attractive central areas of Oslo, in the western part - with numerous trendy and good restaurants, bars and cafes just minutes from the entrance of the apartment building. A tapas restaurant is located in the neighbouring building, an affordable grocery store is 30 meters away. Oslo's best shopping street is 100 meters away. There are short distances to everything, you can literally walk around town to all the attractions, but the steet tram stops only 120 meters away and brings you around town. In summertime, the bright summer evenings - very close to the Midnight sun experience - provide for a great nightlife downtown. With about 500.000 people, Oslo is a managebale city to get to know. Great outdoor activities all year round - you can visit the surrounding hills with lakes and forests, with fishing, svimming, camping and endless offroad biking trails and footpaths (15 minutes with a car). Or take the ferry boats to the archipelago (15 minutes) with its charming islands for a swim, beach life, boating, sailing and scubadiving. The world famous UN heritage site fjords and glaciers of Western Norway are only a train ride away, or a few hours by car. The beautiful mountain areas, with ample opportunity for hiking, are even closer.
