Notre maison

We live on the third floor on a renovated classic building (Year 1891).
Our apartment have a nice living room and open kitchen with four large windows. This together with the high ceilings gives a lot of natural light and a good sense of space.
As you get in the apartment you face the hall with the wardrobe. Living room and kitchen to the right, facing a calm street (very low traffic) and two bedrooms, one with a balcony overlooking the backyard, located on the left. All with wooden floors.
The bathroom is spacious and complete with bathtub and washing machine. The kitchen is modern, from 2007, with oven, ceramic hob and dishwasher. All types of kitchen appliances like toaster, KitchenAid etc.
Our backyard have lawns and flowers, parking for bicycles, a little playground for kids and a BBQ area and room to accomodate15 people.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a family of three: Me (Alfre) my lady (Kerstin) and our beautiful son León (one year and 4 months old)!

Kerstin (my wife) is 32; she is a Sommelier and works a a sales representative in a wine importer company. Her wine knowledge is... impressive, to say the less! She is Swedish and moved to Oslo 10 years ago.
My name is Alfredo, I'm a 38 years old lawyer and works in my wine importer (not the same as Kerstin).
Kerstin and me really enjoy out door life, sports, and of course traveling. At least once a year we go one month to South America to meet the other part of the family (and visit some wine producers friends too).
We swap home and believe it was a great experiece.
Together we speak English, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of German. We love good food and of course, we are fan of good wines.

Our apartment have an excellent urban - family friendly location in Tøyen neighborhood.
From nature to urban life, all is around us.
Tøyen is a colorful and vibrant neighborhood in the bohemian side of Oslo. Good restaurants and small markets offering fantastic value for money. Here the mix between the local community and immigrants from everywhere (I'm from Argentina and my wife is from Sweden!) is fascinating.
Oslo's botanical garden, the beautiful Akerselva river with its waterfalls, the Munk museum,
Grunerløkka (Oslo's Greenwich village) with the best bars, pubs and Sunday markets, are all about 10/15 minutes walking.
Only minutes away walking you can pass by the old historic houses in Vålerenga and Gamlebyen (With ruins from 930 - 1100) until you get to the fjord of Oslo, and it's fantastic Opera House(20 min). From the Opera, Downtown (with the royal palace, the famous Karl Johann Avenue, Akershus fortress and the ferry to the Islands) is a 15 minutes walk. If you don't enjoy walking the closest subway stop is 5 min away.
