Notre maison

Our home is situated in a quiet bay where all the neighbours are friendly. The kitchen, dining and lounge are open plan and overlook our garden and the bay. As does our spacious bedroom. You can even fish off the beach if you wish although there is a small dinghy available as well. There is a large rear deck which is very private. We have a labrador and a poodle that we would probably put in kennels but would be very pleased if you could feed our low maintenance cat. We have family living nearby who would be helpful if needed.

My husband and myself are almost retired but not quite. We have a daughter soninlaw and 3 grandaughters living nearby. We have a son and family in Brisbane whom we get to visit regularly. We also have have another son who is recently married and has been living in Putney in London for the past 9 years. We have been over to vist them for short stays but would like stay for a longer time. It would be nice to have a place of our own hence the houseswap idea. If you have any suggestions we would be more than pleased to hear from you. We are retired farmers abd would love to be in the country as an alternative.

Matakatia Bay is quiet and family friendly areaon the Whangaparaoa Peninsular. We are a 10minute walk to Tindalls Bay on the opposite side of the Peninsular. 3minutes drive to nearest shops with 6 cafes. 10 other beaches within 15 minute drive. There are 3 golfcourses nearby including The Gulf Harbour Country Club. The ferry goes from Gulf harbour to Auckland City daily Handy drive to vineyards.
