We have a 1920's wooden villa which was totally renovated and tastefully decorated in 2006 to allow us to run it as a B&B, We have in total 5 bedrooms, 4 king and 1 twin, all with their own en suite bathrooms 2 of which have both showers and baths. Their are 2 lounges with dining tables and a separate kitchen. There is also a separate laundry with washing machine and dryer. There is off street parking but no garage. The main living area has a log burner and the guest lounge has a gas fire.
Our second home in Wanaka is 7 years old and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 1 with a bath, laundry, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge are which leads onto a private outdoor living area. It has a garage with internal access. There is both a heat pump and log burner.

It had everything you could possibly need and more. Lindsay and Claire were fantastic to deal with and made the exchange very easy. They went out of their way to ensure our exchange was enjoyable. We came home to a spotless house which they obviously treated with great care and respect. Loved it.”
We are Claire Edginton and Lindsay Hewitson and have been involved together in the hospitality industry for the past 17 years. Firstly in a suburban Tavern and Restaurant and for the past 8 years in a Restaurant bar as well as running the B&B. We both have 2 grown up children and 5 grandchildren. We have completed 2 home swaps to date with our Wanaka property both have been very sucessfull.
Our Timaru Home is only 5-10 minutes walk to Timaru's iconic Caroline Bay and 15 minutes walk to the main CBD shopping area. There is a number of cafes, restaurants and bars within this walking time also. Timaru is a good base for day trips to Mount Cook and the Mackenzie country as well as the lakes area. Plenty of golf courses and good fishing. It has a very moderate climate and is central and only 2 hours from Christchurch and Dunedin.
Wanaka is in the heart of Central Otago with plenty of wine production and an easy commute of Queenstown and all the attraction that are on offer there. Our home is 20 minutes walk from the main shopping are dining areas.
