Notre maison

The house is on 20 acres, in Patumahoe. Its a very special piece of land which includes 400 avocado trees, and a huge range of other fruit and nut trees. There are ponds, native woods, a few animals such as ducks and geese.

Our local village is 2km away, and we are in between the local towns Pukekohe, and Waiuku, both 10 minutes away. Auckland CBD is a 40 minute drive, or there is a train service from Pukekohe.

The house is over 3 split levels, currently set up with one room as an office, one as an art studio, 2 bedrooms with double/king size beds, and 1 child's room. Downstairs is a huge rumpus room with a bathroom which could also be used as a bedroom.

The house was completely redecorated and renovated a year ago, and has a new kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine etc etc.

The lounge opens up onto a deck that overlooks the orchard and native trees.

There is also a fully furnished 2 bedroom cottage on the property that is available for guests.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Garth is a freelance designer, and Claudia is a watercolour artist (see my Homapage).

We have a 3 year old son. We met in London, where Garth lived for over 20 years, and returned to NZ to have our son.

We are hoping to use the freedom we have before Nico starts school to arrange a home exchange back to London.

The house belongs to Claudia's parents, who live at the front of the property. The houses are not visible to each other, and are separated by orchards, native trees and a pond. Claudia's Parents run a business from the property in addition to the avocado business, and her brother has a workshop over the driveway.

They are happy for us to use the opportunity for a home exchange, and being on site are available to help out if needed, whether for any issues that crop up, or just for local knowledge.

This is a rural area, with all neighbouring properties on large blocks of land. There is a local village with shops, cafes, hair dressers, pubs etc about 2 km away.
This piece of land is very special, with beautiful mature trees and ponds, a huge range of fruit trees and stunning views. The nearest beach is 15 minutes away, and there are numerous other beaches within half an hour. Auckland Airport is an easy 35 / 40 minute drive away, and the CBD is 40 minutes away.
