Notre maison

Originally built in the 1880's for Henry Beetham, this family home was the original property on Manuka Street in Masterton and what is now a residential area. The rooms are all of a generous size and retain their original period features. The grounds have been landscaped with pleasure gardens, paths, outdoor areas and kitchen gardens being added. We have recently built a chicken coop and enjoy fresh eggs every day. The kitchen, dining and laundry are currently being modernised with the project due to complete in July this year. We also have a separate 1 bedroom apartment with its own kitchen, open plan dining and lounge and separate bedroom with a superking bed.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband Rob is a local GP and was born and raised in Masterton. I am originally from sunny Nelson in the South Island and currently work in I.T. from my home office. Rob and I met skiing in Canada and have enjoyed many ski trips to the US and Canada including our wedding on Aspen mountain in 2012.

Lansdowne is the only hill in residential Masterton with views to the Tararua mountain range. Masterton is the largest town in the Wairarapa region which is a well know wine growing region. Pinot Noir was first grown in Masterton (and NZ) in the 1880's by William Beetham (brother of Henry). Masterton is 1.5 hours by car to the capital city of Wellington, 1 hour to Castlepoint, 30 minutes to Mount Holdsworth and a short walk to a beautiful golf course on Lansdowne Hill.
