Notre maison

Our holiday house is large and comfortable, it is also very well equiped. In the lounge there are large window seats with plenty of soft furnishing for lounging. A large wood burner keeps the house warm in winter. Doors from the kitchen and lounge open to an outside deck which overlooks the lake and towards the magestic Southern Alps.

Bedrooms 1 & 2 have a queen sized bed in each.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed.
Bedroom 4 has 3 singles.

We are Kim, 41 (male) and Katrina, 40 a couple with 3 children. The boys are 14 and 10 and our daughter is 7. Kim is a Doctor who works at the University of Otago and I am a stay at home mum.
We live in Dunedin directly opposite a surf beach, our children all love the water, especially surfing. Our Dunedin home could also be swapped.
We have travelled as a family throughout Europe, Australia and the South Pacific. Our children are well behaved and respectful of others possessions. We have rented houses before but this will be our first experience of house swapping.

Quartier

Ohau is both a summer and winter destination. The summers are lovely and warm and the winters cold enough to enjoy skiing locally. Lake Ohau is at the foot of the Southern alps. A beautiful area surrounded by National Parks.
Our house overlooks Lake Ohau and is also a short walk (5mins) to the sheltered smaller Lake Middilton.
The area is a hikers paradise, Mt Cook, New Zealands largest Mountain is an hour away by car.
For winter travellers, Ohau ski field is 20mins away and is visable from the house
Other places to visit close by are Wanaka and Queenstown.
