En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We, Brian and Robyn, are active retirees who have travelled extensively over the years. We have had several home exchanges when we resided in Hawkes Bay and wish to continue moving offshore during our winter.

Greytown is New Zealand's first planned inland town and is situated 75km. from Wellington. It has retained its' Victorian Colonial Heritage buildings and the pretty tree lined main street hosts a remarkable array of boutique clothing, decor, gift shops, antique shops and many great coffee shops, restaurants and three well kept hotels.
The town has several fine parks and walking and bike trails, plus a swimming pool and vintage building museum.
The vineyards of Martinborough are 20 kms. away and the rural town of Masterton, Carterton and Featherston all close by.

Greytown is connected to Wellington by a drive over the Rimutaka range, passing through the cities of Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt. Alternatively by train travelling through the range by tunnel. South Wairarapa Coast is a beautiful drive past the fishing village of Ngawi to Cape Palliser Lighthouse, listed in Lonely Planet as one of the top 10 to visit lighthouses in the world.
Between Greytown and Masterton is one of the longest span swing bridges in New Zealand at Waianoni Gorge accessing Tararua Forest Park.
