Modern sunny house on one level with great outdoor flow to deck and gardens. Within walking distance to Glen Eden village but land is hilly. Train station to Auckland City, native bush and beaches close, but need to use car. Bowling club, tennis courts handy. Restaurants; Indian, Italian, Thai and English plus other takeaways in village.
House in cul-de-sac of 15 homes. House has airconditioning, log-fire and ventilation system. House has a forth bedroom which is used as an office.
“Jan and Mike are a lovely couple. Their house was comfy, clean, tidy and roomier than the photos suggest. The outdoor areas are well fenced so our little ones could play saftely. We had a really a nice holiday and thanks to them for providing such good accommodation for our family.”
We are a retired couple, with a son living in Maidenhead. We enjoy our bowls, I enjoy my garden, patchwork, reading and looking after my other grandchildren here in New Zealand. Mike tinkers in his garage, and is a very good cook and home handyman.
Our wish is to come to somewhere near Maidenhead so that we can visit our son and his family, especially our new grand-daughter.
We live 25 mins by train from the city of Auckland, lots to see and do here.
Ferry’s go to Waiheke Island and also Tiritirimatengi if you are interested in birds (this is a bird sanctuary for some of our endangered birds). We are a sort drive from Piha beach, karekare and Muriwai (gannet colony here). Our village has a few restaurants, different cultures, a bowling green, library, and is about a 5 min. Drive from our house.
