Notre maison

Our home is 3 bedroom townhouse within steps of beautiful Cheltenham beach. All the upstairs living (lounge, dining area, kitchen and master bedroom have stunning views of the beach and Rangitoto, our iconic volcanic island. (Don't worry, it's dormant!) With wrap around windows the house is always warm. There is an ensuite off the master bedroom upstairs. Downstairs there are two more large bedrooms with single beds and a second living area which opens onto the garden. Also downstairs there is a full bathroom with bath, shower and separate toilet, and a spa (jacuzzi) room which has glass roof and walls so you can see the stars at night. There is an internal access garage. You will be able to use our bikes, (2 adults and 2 large young people's: 'Giants" brand Mountain bikes), our kayak (just drag it onto the beach and off you go), the kids skim boards and boogie boards.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Stuart and Nicky are both High School teachers; Stuart teaches PE and Nicky teaches English. We have 2 daughters, aged 15 and 13. We love living on the beach. The girls spend hours skim-boarding and swimming and jumping off wharfs. Nicky loves walking on the beach, and then up North Head, then following the coast around to the Village and back home again. We love live Theatre and enjoy catching the Ferry over to the city to see the latest production. We love bike-riding as a family, and at the end of 2012 we completed the 'Otago Rail Trail' in the South Island. We have travelled extensively around NZ, and this year (2014) spent 3 months travelling around Europe, including our first 'HomeForExchange' in France, which was a most wonderful experience.

Wonderful heritage buildings, spectacular scenery, stunning beaches... Devonport, the beautiful village by the sea has it all, and is just 10 minutes ferry ride from Auckland’s CBD.

You’ll fall in love with Devonport from the moment you arrive; in fact you may never want to leave! It’s no wonder that Devonport rates so highly on nearly every Kiwi’s “must-do” list and it’s the 4th most visited destination in the Auckland region.

Surrounded by the stunning waters of the Waitemata Harbour, Devonport is blessed with boundless natural beauty, from the twin volcanic cones of Mount Victoria and North Head, offering some of the most spectacular views in Auckland, to its superb, safe white sand beaches.

Experience the art galleries, cafes, boutique shopping, the history and the delights of all that Devonport has to offer.

Auckland is the world’s 5th most liveable city* and Devonport is Auckland’s Crown Jewel.

The Ferry is only a 5 minute drive away from our house. Our kids love jumping off the numerous wharfs around Devonport, or jumping off the Pontoon moored at the beach. Younger children also love sliding down North Head's grassy slopes on large pieces of cardboard.
