Notre maison

This is a typical French detached two story house set in 500 sq m of easy care garden. Upstairs – lounge/dining, renovated kitchen and renovated bathroom, two double bedrooms. Downstairs – bathroom with new shower, double bedroom, laundry, garage. We have high speed internet but will take our laptop with us when we travel so if you have one of your own do bring it with you
The house has wooden shutters - very useful in summer and winter. We set up the outside area from April onwards with an outdoor setting plus a portable barbecue.
St Junien is a town of 11,000 people with lots of amenities available - many supermarkets, shops, restaurants and so on. Haute Vienne is a picturesque area with many historical villages which organise lots of activities from April to late December. There is always lots to do!

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Our names are Tony and Wendy, Australians who have decided to spend a few years in France. We have already driven extensively in Europe during 2006/7 and in the past have been to New Zealand, Canada, USA and UK. Tony is semi retired and works as a Project Manager offshore. Wendy retired recently from Early Childhood teaching. We enjoy exchanging homes and are looking forward to finding more exchanges as it gives us the opportunity to stay in an area for a longer period of time than ordinary travelling would allow. We are non smokers. We are looking for interesting exchanges for 2009 - anywhere, anytime. We look forward to hearing from anyone who may be happy to live in France for a few weeks or a few months to learn more about our adopted country.

Our St Junien house is in a quiet urban area one house up from the beautiful Vienne River and very close to a 13C church and 12C bridge. It is an easy walking distance to the quaint, historical town centre.
The area is renowned for its food, markets and fetes with many fascinating places to visit close by.
We are located centrally in France in the Limousin surrounded by the famous districts of Charente, Perigord, Dordogne and The Lot. There are numerous attractions in each of these areas. We will leave a file of useful tourist guides for you to refer to. La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Bergerac, Avignon, Lyons, etc are all 2-3 hours away and the French Alps a bit further to the east.
Limoges airport is 20 minutes away serviced by Ryanair, Air France and Flybe airlines. High speed rail services in Limoges and Angouleme connect with our local train. The station is closeby within walking distance.
