Localisation

Quartier

We are living in Prades le Lez, a small and friendly village 10 km north of Montpellier, which in turn is situated in the centre of Southern France's Mediterranean coastline. Because of its attractiveness, Montpellier is today one of France's fastest growing cities.

Our large garden is on the edge of the forest locally called garrigue, full of pine trees, wild thyme and rosemary. There are vineyards to walk through or to explore on the mountain bike just two minutes away.

In terms of its setting, the Montpellier region is very attractive. The wild, remote Cevennes hills lie just to the north, while the many sandy beaches are an easy half-hour drive to the south. The Pyrenees Mountains are two hours by car to the southwest and the foothills of the Alps are about the same distance north-east.
Nice and the Côte d'Azur are only three hours from Montpellier, as is Barcelona, one of the most exciting cities in Spain.

Dominated by vineyards, the Languedoc region is becoming better and better known for for the quality of its wine and you'll find plenty of good restaurants nearby. Coming here for culinary reasons and enjoying the landscape would be reason enough, but there's much more to discover, too. Have a look on the official web site of tourism of Montpellier to become convinced: http://www.ot-montpellier.fr/en
