Localisation

Quartier

We live in the Marais, between the Picasso museum and the Cité island where the Notre Dame cathedral stands. The Marais is the historical heart of Paris and one of the liveliest areas.

Our street, Beautreillis street, connects the Place des Vosges square to the Seine river. Jim Morrison (The Doors) lived there.

The building dates from the nineteenth century and encloses a typical flowered courtyard. Wooden stairs, secured by an intercom, allow to reach our flat on the fourth and last floor.

You can see and enjoy a great deal of Paris on foot. The area is full of local grocers and delicatessens, bakers, cafés, restaurants (among the most famous ones), antiquaries, design galleries, clothes and department stores, antiquarian booksellers, small cabaret theatres, squares, museums and historical sites.

We are also very well served by all the different sorts of transport:

the nearest metros are Saint Paul (line1), Sully Morland (line 7) and Bastille (lines 1, 5, 8).

Chatelet, the center of the RER trains network (for airports, Euro Disney, Versailles...) is 5 minutes far by metro (line 1or 7).

A boat-bus station waits for you at the edge of the Seine down the street.

You can also rent rollers and bikes at Bastille.
