Notre maison

Beautiful one-bedroom apartment in a modern, very quiet gardened residence directly beside the wonderful and newly restored Jardin des Plantes.

Apartment has balcony with seating, and is fully kitted out with high-spec new furniture, including Siemens appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, cooker, oven, full size fridge-freezer), hi-speed wifi, cable tv, dvd+vhs, free international calls, top-end sound system (Harmon Kardon + Cabasse speakers), etc.

If it's of interest, I also have a lot of books (art, photography, philosophy - 80% in English) and music (hundreds of CDs). The apartment is exceptionally quiet and well soundproofed. Looking for someone who will care for apartment as theirs.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I'm 32, Irish, and been living in Paris the past 5-6 years, but been going there a lot since I was young. Started a PhD there a few years ago (History of Art / Photography), but as these things often go, it's not finished yet!

Professionally, I have worked mainly in contemporary art, organizing many exhibitions around Europe and the US. I've also worked as manager of an international media assocation, and am now working on a number of website projects, which is why I'm looking to spend time in San Francisco.

I'm very tidy and organized, so you can rest assured that your place will be immaculately looked after. I'm a non-smoker.

Location is hard to beat - choice of 3 different metro lines within 4-5 minute walk; 4-5 bus routes; major train station (Gare d'Austerlitz); taxis right beside; free Paris bicycles directly outside building. Lots of superb, good value restaurants nearby, and famous Rue Mouffetard with some of highest quality delicatessen stores in Paris, with everyday outdoor market and very good brasseries.

Location is perfect to explore Paris - if you like to walk, it's 10-15 minutes to St. Germain/St Michel/Bastille/Montparnasse, or 20 to Chatlet/Hotel de Ville. I can also give you lots of tips of good places to eat/visit (oh... and buy wine of course!).

I'm looking to exchange for somewhere in Dublin from early May 2008 for a period of 2 weeks minimum, one month ideal, but happy to discuss options. I'm very flexible. Ideally, the place has Wireless internet, as I need to work.

Checking email frequently so do please contact me with any questions, as looking to arrange something quite soon. Thanks!
