Notre maison

Our home, on the outskirts of Montignac, but within a few minutes walk of the centre, nevertheless has a very rural feel. Our large covered terrace overlooking the back garden and nearby countryside provides plenty of scope for outside living, even when it rains! The tranquil sound of a stream running alongside our garden provides a pleasant backdrop to the terrace. Both the guest bedroom and lounge open directly onto the terrace via french windows.
We have a light and airy living space on the first floor with newly fitted kitchen and breakfast bar. Off the kitchen is a small south-facing balcony with table and chairs.

Montignac is home to the new Lascaux IV with its journey back to prehistoric man and his cave paintings. The town itself is very attractive, situated as it is on the banks of the Vezere river. From the town centre the hiring of canoes to explore the river is possible, giving the opportunity to discover such charming villages as St Leon and passing beneath the imposing walls of the Chateau de Losse Within the town there is a great variety of bars and restaurants as well as a lively weekly market.
Medieval Sarlat, Les Eyzies, with its national museum of prehistory, and the Valley of the Dordogne are all within easy reach.. There are numerous chateaux in the area worthy of a visit.
