Notre maison

We offer a cottage on the outskirts of the vibrant market village of Montcuq. We have two bedrooms, one with one king bed and the other with king or two single beds. There is one bathroom. There is a one bedroom independent apartment adjoining also with king bed which we live in, so a non-simultaeous exchange would be possible - we also have photos on-line of the apartment on our own site. There is living/dining room and a fitted kitchen. It has tiled floors throughout, and a terrace at the rear overlooking the garden with a view to an 11th C tower. We are interested in other areas of France and Europe, Norway, Portugal, Venice, Choggia, Corsica and Bulgaria and Eastern USA in the Fall (probably ot 2008). We can be quite flexible with dates within Europe between September and October. We are experienced exchangers. We are not interested in exchanges to Australia, NZ or Canada. Swimming pools and beaches are not important to us either. No pets. (Our principal home is in Melbourne Australia and this can be exchanged from time to time, also.)

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We would like to exchange for a week or two in the period Septemer - October 2008. My partner Peter and I are semi-retired (ex-scientist and ex-tertiary lecturer respectively) and spend part of every year in France where I exhibit my art work at least twice a year and where we have a gite. I am inevitably looking for subjects to paint where ever we go. We also have a house in Australia for home exchange. We are experienced exchangers.

Ideally located in a quiet area in a vibrant village atmosphere. Although there is very limited public transport it would really be necessary to have a car to be able to access the many sights nearby and further away. Our village has a supermarket, post office and 5 cafes with 2 boulangeries and 2 charcuteries, newsagent and hardware store, hairdressers etc.

A good base from which to get to Cahors, Sarlat, Cordes cur Ciel, Bergerac, Rodez, Albi, Toulouse, Moissac, Monpazier etc. Although we have plenty of wineries closeby, if you are interested in Bordeaux, even some wineries around Bordeaux can be visited in a day.
