Notre maison

Our home is comfortable and spacious with big bay windows at the front leading onto a covered terrace where it's really pleasant to have breakfast, looking out on the pool.
The living room cum dining room is open plan style with the kitchen and a fireplace for the winter months.

Stepping out from the kitchen, at the back of the house, there is also a very large patio where it's possible to have meals under the vines and pick your own grapes in season!

There are three ground floor bedrooms including one ensuite and, another one which also opens onto the front garden and pool area. Also on the ground floor is a private bathroom with shower and toilet, a laundry room and a cloakroom with toilet.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one double and one single plus a shower room and toilet.
The house is surrounded on two sides by lawns and trees with a vegetable plot and chicken run at the back, so fresh eggs every morning!
There is also a very large garage and shaded parking area.
In the summer months we move into the poolhouse for meals and enjoy spending lazy days by the pool and relaxing under the olive trees. There is a very large awning attached to the poolhouse and a barbecue on wheels for alfresco dining.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a Franco/ British family who settled here in 1998 after spending many years in Paris. My husband Eric is a retired Police Inspector who is a keen gardener and I am an English teacher in the French Educational System.
We have 3 grown up children, Alice, Claire and Marc and 2 grandchildren who sometimes travel with us. We are most respectful individuals and will take great care of your home as we are sure you will do the same for ours.
Due to my work commitments we are only able to travel during the French school holidays.
We love travelling and meeting people and ideally would like to stay near a beach as everyone in the family enjoys water sports, swimming and sailing.
We are great animal lovers and would like to exchange with a family who would be prepared to feed our very independent cat, the chickens and our dog Elliot (he could also travel with us!)
We would in exchange love to look after your animals.
We can also arrange to leave you a car or even 2 cars if you are a large family.
This will be our first real exchange are we are truly looking forward to the experience and hope to make new friends.
    Sue.

We live in a small village amongst the vines in the South of France. It's a very quiet area and suitable for those looking for a relaxing, get away from it all holiday.
The village bakeries , small supermarket, butcher and café-restaurants are a 5 minute walk away from the house.
Some of the loveliest, unspoilt beaches of the Mediterranean are a 15 minute drive away and the Canal de Midi, part of the UNESCO heritage is just a 10 minute bike ride away.
There are many places of interest nearby, including the town of Béziers, famous for the Nine Canal Locks and the birthplace of Pierre Paul Riquet.
The Oppidum d'Ensérune 600BC which is an iron age hilltop settlement containing a wonderful museum and where Excavation digs still take place, and the "Etang de Montady", a former fresh water wetland created by local monks in the 13th Century.
