Notre maison

Our home is spacious (105 square meters), very sunny but cool even the heart of the summer; in a typical Bourgeois quiet 50's apartment builing (one apartment per floor, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, one landry room, very large living room; it is on the 3rd floor (French 3rd floor - with elevator) and overlooks the roofs of old Marseille with a close view of Eglise des Réformés and a distant view of emblematic Notre Dame de la Garde.
By taste and by trade (see our profile), it is furnished with mainly Scandinavian vintage pieces from the 50's and the 60's + kilim carpets.
+Red geraniums on a lot of window sills.
We love to cook - our kitchen is convenient with all the nercessary cooking equipment (but no micro-wave oven!)

Localisation

Quartier

Rue Delille is ideally located to move in and out of Marseille as well inside Marseille : 6 minutes walk to Gare Saint Charles (high speed trains to Paris, Avignon), 3 minutes entrance to highway tunnel to drive to Aix, Arles, Luberon, ...), 2 minutes to Tram stop and Metro Stop, 10 minutes walk to Vieux Port down the Canebières,...
We live in the Réformés district which was built as a bourgeois neighborhood around 1850-1860, leading to the Palais Longchamp.
The dictrict is now in the middle of changes with a younger generation of young "creative class" families moving in.
Shopping facilities: Monoprix open till 9PM down the Canebières, other supermarkets within a few minutes open late; flower market on Canebières every Saturday morning,...
I'm not talking about all the small shops we go too (butcher, bakery, vegetable stand,...) because some are likely to be closed in August.
