Notre maison

We are Nick (46), Karen (49) and George (11). Our cottage is situated overlooking the vines and woodland of our vineyard. The cottage is fully heated; has a large kitchen/dining room, separate lounge with UK satellite TV, 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin), 2 bathrooms, an enclosed garden and a large terrace with BBQ chimney.

We have a beautiful 11m x 5m salt-water pool which is set at the top of a gentle hill with views overlooking the vines and woodland - a perfect spot to relax.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We purchased the vineyard 8 years ago when we made the life-changing decision to move to France from Cheshire. We have one very-well behaved son of 11. We have just completed our 3rd house swap (thank you Emma, Paul and Saskia), so we would like to arrange our 2012 Summer holiday. We are very interested in returning to Spain or visiting Portugal.

As the cottage on the vineyard is not our primary residence, we are able to offer non-simultaneous swaps.

The vineyard covers 100 acres in total so offers fantastic opportunities for walking and cycling. This region of France is extremely rural; its' main industry (if you can call it that) is agriculture - mainly vines but also maize and sunflowers are grown here. We are situated 2km from the village of Manciet which has a small grocery shop/boulangerie, 2 restaurants (one of which has a Michelin star), and a pharmacy. Within easy reach (10km) are 2 large towns offering supermarkets, a superb traditional weekly market and many restaurants and bars. We are 2 hours drive from the Pyrenees, the Spanish border and around 90 minutes drive from the Atlantic coast. Toulouse is easily accessible as are Bordeaux and Pau.
