Notre maison

Nestled in a quiet and friendly hamlet of a beautiful and dynamic village of the French Alps, our house is sunny, comfortable and personal. From the large wooden deck, accessible from the kitchen and the living room, and from all the rooms in the house, the view on the surrounding mountains is enchanting. We like our yard with the cherry tree, the kids' swing, the horses grazing in the field behind, the nice shaded area for the hammock... The five panelled bedrooms each have their personal decoration.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Our three children are wonderful teenagers who like to travel and have followed us all over the world (2 years in Vanuatu and 3 years in California). I, Frédérique teach English in high school and French to foreigners and my husband, Pierre-Hervé works with Hewlett Packard in HR. We like being outdoor, decorating the house and inviting friends over.
We also have a cat who lives mostly outdoors.

Situated 10km away from Grenoble, Le Sappey en Chartreuse (1000 inhabitants) at an altitude of 1000m (3300 ft) boasts a pure and cool air, numerous hiking and mountain biking trails (that become cross country and rackets trail in winter + a few downhill slopes and lifts), orientation circuits, a forest acrobatic park, a skate park, tennis courts, nice restaurants, serving the traditional dishes of the region as well as more creative propositions. We recommend a visit to the village website: www.sappey-tourisme.com.
Our hamlet is at once quiet and lively with the warm welcome of all the neighbours many of which have practised house exchanges.
In Grenoble you'll find a rich cultural and nighly life as well as nice shopping. Many museums such as the Musée Dauphinois presenting the history of the region full of mountains sports (such as paragliding), farming, grazing and more recently new technologies.
From our house you can drive to Lyon in one hour and a half, to all the scenic places of the French Alps, to the Côte d'Azur in 3 hours, to Switzerland (Geneva in 2 hours), Italy (3 hours) and the rapid trains take you to Paris in just 3 hours.
