Notre maison

This is our lovely holiday home, situated on the west coast, Vendee area of France (3-bedrooms, sleeps 6). We bought the house in 2002 and have refurbished it simply, yet comfortably. Downstairs is the fully equipped kitchen/diner, living room, and shower room. We have UK and French TV, lots of boxed games, paperbacks to help you relax. Upstairs there are three bedrooms (king, double and bunk-twin beds) and a separate WC. The two spacious double bedrooms have french doors that open out to a balcony.
The house has thick walls which keep it cool in summer and warm in winter.
Outside is a spacious patio and decking area where there's plenty of room for sun loungers and an outdoor dining table and chairs.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We live in St Albans, north of London, UK. David is a Neckwear Manufacturer and runs his own business. I'm Catherine, originally from Ireland and I work as an Organisation Development Consultant, based in Central London.

We have two sporty children; our 18 yr old son (who is unlikely to join us) and our 15 yr old daughter. A friend of my daughter's may travel with us. Therefore we'll likely be a group of 4. We would like a holiday location where the kids can make friends and have lots of activities.

Since this is our second home, we can arrange a non-simulatanious exchange.

Our holiday dates are influenced by school holidays and we wish to exchange for 2-3 weeks between mid-July and late August 2008.

We are experienced exchangers and will look after your home as if it were our own.

Built about 100 years ago, the house is 5 min walk from the town centre. The two-story house, near the beach, town and markets, it's 35 minutes north of La Rochelle and about 1.5 hour drive from Nantes, both of which have airports.

In or out of season, l'Aiguillon is great whether you want a rest & relaxation or an activity and sightseeing holiday.

At any time of year the roads are ideal for biking, the beaches for beach-walking and fishing; the restaurants for delicious food, markets for browsing and the cafes for chatting to friendly locals.

It's a good base from which to experience the surrounding French coast, wildlife sanctuary, Ile de Re and countryside.

It works well for most family set ups, including retired folk and families with young children. l'Aiguillon is just across the bridge from La Faute, where more restaurants, cafes, bars and a casino can be found. Nearest golfing can be found at up the coast at St Jean de Monts and in Nantes.
