Notre maison

We live in a a very typical French manoir for this part of France. It has many lovely French features and we have decorated it and furnished it in French style. It is a very comfortable home on 4 levels. There are 5 double bedrooms many with ensuites and large reception areas. The main rooms face south and overlook a pretty courtyard and open fields. There is plenty of walking space around the property as we have 10 acres of land and there is a French pressoir and small pond on the property. This year we have just completed a new enclosed garden at the back of the house to relax and enjoy the summer sun. We hope that someone taking the house would also be willing to look after our labrador and 2 cats. The house has lots of garden area for outside enjoyment in the lovely sunny and warm summer days and we would be happy to leave a car.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are five altogether. My name is Averille and my husband Ron and I have three children. Rebecca is 25, Andrew 24 and Amy 22. We are originally from Ireland and now live very happily in France. I like anything to do with the house, my husband is keen on cars and woodwork. The children are varied in their interests but we all love to travel together and experience new things. We are very respective of people's property and look forward to spending quality time in someone's home. We are looking for a swap preferably september for 1 month 2020. We would be interested in shorter exchanges in europe any time of the year.

The Manoir is off a main national French road with the coast, beautiful beaches and wonderful french sea ports with magnificant local seafood restaurants being only 1 hours drive away. Paris is only 2 1/2 hours by train with a daily return service. There are many local sites to see from very pretty, very old French villages to grand chateaux and beautiful gardens. The area is particularly famous for its local produce of cheeses, calvados, apple cider, biscuits and artisan made chocolate. Historically there is a great deal to visit such as the war graves and cemetries of Normandy or maybe the famous Haras du Pin for those interested in horses. Many sites can visited easily in a day. There are many local brocantes (antique shops) and open air markets (selling french food) open all year for those who like to experience French things. The famous national park of Normandy is only 5 minutes away and there are many top quality French restaurants locally, as well as a casino for those who enjoy dancing and gambling. Summer is a beautiful time of the year and there are an endless number of beautiful, flowering villages to visit with their summer fetes. We are only too happy to suggest places to visit and things to do.
