Notre maison

La Moutique is a recently restored family home with an open aspect commanding exceptional views over the surrounding landscape. Being a twenty minute drive from Bergerac and a five minute drive from the Bastide town of Eymet it is uniquely placed off a quiet country lane between Fonroque and Eylias a farming hamlet.
Fonroque has a bakery, general dealers and café /bistro within reasonable walking distance. La Moutique offers tranquility in comfortable country style surroundings whilst only 5 minutes from Eymet a thriving market town providing every amenity necessary for an exceptional holiday. Being a family home it provides spacious accommodation and is ideal for a family holiday, sightseeing or house hunting. Guests can relax by the pool explore the nearby medieval towns or amble through the beautiful countryside.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Tony and Moira have lived permanently in France since 2003. Being semi retired recently we now have more time to travel and wish to take this opportunity to see a little more of the world. Our two sons currently reside in Sydney Australia and a nice option would be to visit them there but we would also like to travel to other far flung places in search of sunshine, skiing and adventure. Our property is available for exchange from mid September to beginning of November; and beginning of April to mid june each year.

The bastide towns of Castillonnes, Villareal, Issigeac and Eymet burst into life on their particular market day when you can buy fresh locally produced fruit, vegetables, cheese, wine and arts and crafts. Regional delicacies include prunes, foie gras, magret, ceps, walnuts and confit. Regional wines include Bergerac, Buzet, Monbazillac, Duras, Saint Emilion and Bordeaux. Places of interest are Bergerac, Penne d'Agenais, Sarlat, Ste Foy le Grande, Miramont and Duras where chateau, market squares, old towns and churches are all well worth a visit. Market day in Eymet is Thursday morning and there is a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafés where you can linger over lunch or dine à la carte in the evening.
