Notre maison

This is a 4 bedroomed detached house (Neo Breton Style) on a very quiet road just on the edge of the village of Evran. The rear of the house backs onto a farmers field (alternate yearly crops of maize or wheat) with countryside all around it. We have a large basement which contains a small gym, laundry/boiler room and a large garage. A separate garage sits adjacent to the house where we put the bikes, lawnmower etc. Coming up the stairs from the basement you'll find the large living area which has balconys front and rear, kitchen, one double bedroom, shower room and wc. Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms (one double, two single) and the family bathroom.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Steve and Michelle, a British couple with two youngish children, Eddie nearly 11yrs and Annie 7yrs. We have a cat named Mica O'Malley who usually stays around the house whenever we have gone away as our lovely french neigbours will feed him for us and water our gargen etc. Steve is an electrician and plumber and has set up his own business here in France. I have been a stay at home mum since having both the children. We moved here in 2004 and have loved every moment of it. The way of life suits us down to the ground as we've lost the noise and fast pace of the UK and now have much calmer way of living our lives. Both children go to the local primary school and have many friends within the village. We have never done a house exchange before but feel it could be a great way to travel the world and see some of the places that interest us. We feel that there is so much to offer anyone who would like to visit Brittany and would therefore be very happy to offer our home.

Evran has all the local amenities a village should have! Two banks, three boulangeries, small supermarket, newsagent, chemist, two restaurants and two bars (one being a tabac). A 15 minute walk will take you to Betinuec where there is a beautiful lake you can walk all the way round (3k). For kids there is a man made beach there too and also a cafe. 15 mins drive from Evran you'll find Dinan, a medeival town with ramparts surrounding it. Great for shopping/restaurants or just sitting at one of the many cafes and watching whats going on. Evran is also between St. Malo (large port town) 40 mins to the north of us and Rennes (the capital of Brittany) 40 mins to the south. The incredible Mont St.Michel is approx 45 mins by car and is the 2nd most visited tourist attraction in France. Our nearest beach is 35 mins away, but we have so many to choose from and they are never very busy. The coastal walks are quiet spectacular and on one occasion, up near Cancale (where you get the freshest seafood around, especially mussels) I saw a pod of 8-9 dolphin.
