Notre maison

We have a typical 2 storey Norman house, with magnificient view on the sea - that you can enjoy from the inside, the balcony, the garden or the terrace. It has been recently renovated in traditional style. It is designed to accomodate 2 families or more, and we love to spend week-ends there with family and friends. It features 1 dining-room, 1 large living-room, 1 small and cosy living-room with a fireplace, 5 bedrooms. It fits perfect for 2 or 3 families.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Jean-François owns a medical laboratory (physician), and I am a garden designer. We have 3 lovely boys (10,12 and 14), who will be careful with your house, as they are in their own. We are easy going, and enjoy travelling on our own, with the kids, with friends, or whatever. We already had 3 home exchanges. We like comfortable places, with beautiful fittings and furniture. If you want, I suggest we take some time on the phone to get to know each other better.

Localisation

Quartier

This mansion was built in the 1900', when the Parisian high society (Flaubert, Proust) used to come to Normandy for healthy sea bathes and distinguished entertainement (casino, horses races, ...). It lays on the road between the pittoresque harbour of Honfleur (art galeries, antiques, local or fancy restaurants) and the lively town of Deauville (casino, shopping, beautiful beach). This location is very convenient for sightseeings: long sandy beaches with old luxury villas (Cabourg, Houlgate, Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur), or typical and quiet villages on the countryside. Many hiking-trails are availables. You can also visit D-Day beaches and war memorial in Caen.
Have a look at the tourist information websites: http://www.calvados-tourisme.com/en http://www.deauville.org/en/ http://www.trouvillesurmer.org http://en.ot-honfleur.fr/ http://www.cabourg.net/?lang=en http://www.etretat.net
In the nearby village, you will find commodities like supermarket, pharmacy, newspapers, a big park, access to the beach. Within 15 mn drive you can enjoy various activities for the whole family: golf, horse riding and races, sailing, tennis, karting, bowling, shopping, casinos, etc. Children clubs on the beach in the summer. American film festival in september.
Normandy is only 2 hrs from Paris (by train or motorway), so you can combine a stay in Normandy and in the capital. We can also combine an exchange with our home in Paris, property 64517.
