Notre maison

We are living in a newly refurbished apartment in a building that used to be a high school and outside of our windows we can see an old chapel where nuns used to live.
Our apartment has a very high ceiling, with high open outlook windows on each side of the rooms. Its is very bright with lots of sunlight coming through the windows.

The apartment used to be classrooms so we have a very large living room, with a large dining table and a tv area with two comfortable sofas, a large flat screen HDtv with PS3, bluray player, dvd player, a receiver with 5.1 sound system and lots of movies for you to watch.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need, including a dishwasher and a oven. We eat on the counter in the kitchen but you can eat on the dining table.
We have an office room with two computers with broadband internet access but you can also use your own computer with our wifi access. We also have a printer/copier/fax machine.

We have two separate bedrooms: one with a large new double bed and another with a convertible (but still comfortable) double bed.
Our bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a bathtub as well as a washer.
Our apartment comes with a free parking spot inside the secured residence

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am an English teacher and my partner is a law teacher at the University. We love America and we have been there several times already but we have not seen the west coast yet.
I have lived in Carbondale, I like for a year to teach French at the Southern Illinois University and this is how our love for the country and our many travels there began.
We are very quiet, simple people who will not bother the neighbours or party every night.

The residence we live in is very quiet, we do not hear our neighbours and they do not hear us either. There are two access codes doors before entering our building so we feel very safe even thou there is nothing to fear about our friendly neighborhood. No loud students, only doctors and lawyers.

In our street there are bakers, butchers, groceries and restaurants. You do not have to take the car to go to the big malls if you do not want to.The town center is only 10 min walk away

Caen is a quiet town with lots of shops and lots of historical things to see. The coast is only 20 min away, and there are many different beaches to go to during the summer.
In Caen there is the famous World War 2 Memorial and the 11th century castle. You can also go to the Omaha beaches and the American cemetery.

We are only 1h20 by car from the Mont St Michel and Paris is only 1h45 by train. If you like you can also take the boat to go to England and spend the weekend in London, it's very easy to do.

Deauville is also only 30min away by car, so you can see the famous beaches.
