Notre maison

This is an old watermill with much of the machinery inside. It has a unique and romantic atmosphere. A new wooden staircase leads up to the gallery bedroom (double bed) and shower room, which overlooks the spacious living area with two comfortable sofa beds. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a woodburning stove if the evenings are chilly. May to September is the best period for visits. Outside is a long millpond/lake surrounded by trees and a large garden with fruit trees, lawn and flowers. Meals are often eaten outside looking over the lake.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a retired professional couple (pharmacist and economist) who live in Cambridge, England, this is our holiday home. We like nature and culture so are looking for exchanges in scenic areas of Great Britain and Ireland, or other parts of Europe, or interesting cities. We have exchanged houses successfully with couples in Ireland and Holland. WE WILL REPLY TO ALL ENQUIRIES.

We are in a hamlet of a few dairy farms and cottages, next to the river, and half a mile from a village with a small supermarket and bars. A large supermarket is 5 minutes away in the nearest market town (car essential). It is well located to visit many parts of Brittany. The sea is 45 minutes of easy driving away. The shoreline of Brittany is wonderful, with rocky inlets and vast stretches of uncrowded beaches. Within the same time you can visit a choice of historic towns such as Rennes, Dol and St. Malo. Mont St. Michel is one hour's drive. The fascinating mediaeval walled town of Dinan is 20mins away. The ancient forest of Arthurian legend is 20 minutes to the south, with scenic walks. Ancient megaliths are everywhere. There are many good places to eat in the area (Brittany is famous for its sea food), including a Michelin restaurant 6 miles away. The airport at Dinard (Ryanair) is 40 mins drive away.
