Notre maison

We have been in this house for 8 years and we love it, it is roomy and comfortable, close to the downtown area for the train station, very close to the airport, and very close to the highway to Paris. It has a pretty garden, the neighbors are friendly, our street is very quiet. The house has a very big balcony with 3 French windows in the living-room that let a lot of sunlight in. I like having flowers all along the balcony... If the weather cools or if it rains we love to have log fire in the fire-place. The kitchen is big, and so is the entrance hall. There is a smaller study room on the same level. Upstairs we have 3 big bedrooms, one bathroom and a toilet. Under the main floor there is a huge basement with all the necessities, where we park the car, do the laundry, there's the boiler, the place to prepare gardening... etc. We have a nice garden which is not very big, but big enough.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband is 70 and I am turning 60 soon. When our kids were young we swapped our home 14 times and it's always been a wonderful experience meeting new people, and each time we could discover a new country: we did it with families from Scandinavia, Great Britain, Austria, the USA and Canada. That was for the holidays but we also did it 4 times for one whole year each time when I went on teacher exchanges. Always we have respected people's property as they have respected ours. In September we are going to swap homes with a couple from New Zealand, for 2 months: indeed I am retiring at the end of June while my husband has been retired for a long time, so we are looking forward to travelling some more if we can find partners who would like to discover our pretty Bretagne.

Our next door neighbors are very nice, friendly and helpful. On one side the house looks out on a square with trees, which is very quiet, there are just a couple of cars parked on it and hardly any traffic all day. On the other side we have the garden and then a small gate that opens out to a street with more traffic. However we 're not bothered by the traffic noise when we are in the house. It's a ten-minute walk to the shopping district with a farmers market on Friday. By car or bus it take 15 minutes to get to the downtown area, to the cinemas, to the harbor... The city has almost 200,000 inhabitants.. Nearby we have sand beaches, lovely old fishing villages, walking trails along the sea, we live in a very pretty area where we don't get crowds as it is situated at the westernmost tip of Bretagne.
