Notre maison

We are a bi-lingual French/Australian family.
Our home is large, sunny and comfortable. Situated centrally in a quiet neighbourhood of the picturesque town of Antibes.

Ground floor - large sitting .and dining room (S + SW exposure); quality audio-visual + large flat-screen TV; cable reception; fireplace. Kitchen. Main bedroom, bathroom and shower.

Second floor houses the two childen's bedrooms, one single and one double. Again, large, light + sunny, plenty of wardrobes.
Adjacent bathroom and a large games room, with sofa, Babyfoot and TV screen. If needs be, a single person could comfortably sleep on the sofa bed (small wardrobe also in this room).
Small office off this, with a computer.

Lovely flat garden with pool, well exposed, it is always warm (can also be heated in the spring and autumn). Terraces are equipped with wood dining table + chairs, sun beds, armchairs + barbeque.

Lock-up garage, electric gate. More parking in the street.
Practical aspects: large celler and laundry (no dryer but indoor + outdoor lines).
Local shops 200 metres away - good baker, butcher/deli, greengrocer, pharmacy, tabacconist, bar, pizzeria, Casino mini-supermarket and hairdresser!
Larger supermarkets and newsagent 2 mins by car.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My partner is French and speaks Spanish and a little English; his domain is invesment - expat and offshore. I am Australian and speak fluent French, having lived in Antibes for nearly 30 years and am a yacht broker. We would be delighted to share our knowledge of this region with anyone staying in our home.

Our children are 16 and 13 and our home well equipped with Playstaions, X-boxes, TV screens and a pool. And if any children are Manga fans, hundred of books on the subject! Both kids will be able to provide a wealth of information of the fun places and must-see's for this age group and younger.

In and around Antibes are many activities including tenpin bowling, squads, go karting, Aqualand, Antibesland and an hour's drive north are the lower alps (ALpes du Sud) with the Mercantour National Park.

House is seved by three bus lines.
A 20 minute walk to the train station.

As mentioned above, the situation is ideal - close to town but out of hte hub-bub. Our children regularly to to the beach, into town or to Cannes and Nice (older boy) under their own steam.

The beaches in Antibes itself are all sandy, except for those to the eastern side.

The town offers much to see including Vauban's Fort Carré, the Picasso and Archeological Museums, the Old Town with its covered market and narrow streets. There are also plenty of very good restaurants for all purses, which we can happily recommend. At night, there are also some lively bars, some with music and in summer, street entertaiment. It is very pleasant to be able to stroll into town, have a glass or two and then stroll home again, driving licence intact (!)

Adjacent Juan-les-Pins is somewhat like a mini St Tropez and offers more god restaurants and many private beaches and more animation in the evenings.
