Our house was built in 1906 and has about 180 square meters ( 2000 square feet) of living space divided on the first floor and the second floor. On the first floor there is a toilet, an open kitchen/dining room complete with all kitchen appliances, a living room with big screen TV, large sun room overlooking the garden and a study. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, TV and a walk-in closet, one bedroom with a queen size sleeper sofa and a study. There is a bathroom with shower. There is a private secluded garden behind the house. In the basement there is a washing machine and a drier.
We are non-smokers, so no smoking in the house. We donât want pets in the house.
We are a married couple in our mid thirties. Henrik is an engineer and Charlotte is an occupational therapist. We have spent the last 7 years restoring our home. We love to spend time with friends and family. Henrik restores classic cars. We would like to exhange for a week or two.
Our house is located in Odense, the third biggest city in Denmark. Odense is located in the center of Denmark and near the coast. The historic city of Odense was founded in the year 988 and was the birthplace of the world famous fairytale author Hans Christian Andersen. Odense has made bike riding a high priority in the city. There is an extensive network of bike paths, so you can easily ride safely around â we have 2 bikes you can borrow. The house is 500 m from town center, but is still in a quiet neighborhood near a park. The city has a lot of historical sights, modern architecture, parks, shops and good restaurants. Odense is 20 minutes from the beach, 1½ hour from the capital Copenhagen and 1 hour from Legoland. It is also possible to visit the northern part of Europe â Sweden 2 hours, Germany 1½ hour (Berlin 6 hours), The Netherlands 6 hours (Amsterdam 8 hours). There are cheap flights from the local airport to London, Madrid and Pisa.
