Our home in Denmark is a terraced house of 100 m2 in the town of Farum, only 15 miles (25 kilometres) from Copenhagen. It has two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, open plan kitchen dining area and an office. There is a nice 500 m2 garden with a large covered veranda. The house has central heating on gas and to make it cosy, when it is cold, we also have a wood burning stove in the living room. We like to listen to classic music and modern jazz and have a nice collection of CD and old LP-records.
We are Boerge and Ruth. We are 66 and 65 years old, and we are going to retire at the end of 2011. Boerge has for the last 35 years worked as social worker with foster homes and foster children. Ruth is a lawyer and has the last 25 years worked in the Danish Association of Lawyers and Economists. Our interests are many. Among others we play bridge and golf. We have 3 children who are married and 5 grandchildren.
The journey to Australia and Bali is planned to be the trip of our life. We start in Sydney and have arranged some excursions from Cairns 49 days later. We therefore will have 49 days and 2.900 km for wich we have no specific plans. In Bali we have 18 days, which are not planned. We are looking forward to hear from you with us some offers.
The town was founded for approximately 900 years ago and it is surrounded by forests and lakes. We ourselves often walk or bike in the neighbourhood. In the town there are all kinds of sports facilities.
Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is only 15 miles away. Visit Copenhagen either by car or train. The S-train station is only one mile from our home. In Copenhagen you will find museums, several castles including the royal family’s residence, Nyhavn – the old harbour district and the little Mermaid. The famous amusement park TIVOLI is just across from the Copenhagen city hall.
