Notre maison

Our house was built in 1929, but has been renovated, expanded and modernized over the years and is today a modern but cosy and unique house with a floor heated glass patio, open kitchen and dining area with wooden beams across the ceiling, a large office and tv room, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, a bedroom with own bathroom and a childrens room. We have a beautiful and fairytale like garden blossoming aorund our large cherry tree.

Quartier

Our house was built as a summer cottage in the outskirts of Copenhagen. But trough out the years, the city has expanded and today we are in the urban area of Copenhagen, placed at a quiet dead end road. Close by us rises the newest part of Copenhagen called Oerestaden full of award winning architecture. Close by you'll also find a forest and a large natural area with hiking trails. A 5-minute walk in one direction will take you to two well-equipped grocery stores, and a 10-minute walk the other way you'll find Fields ? Scandinavia's largest shopping mall with all major brand stores. But our favorite place nearby is Ismejeriet ? the best ice cream store in Copenhagen with only homemade delicious ice cream. Go there and you'll find yourself in an ice-cream store with an interior from the 50'ies. Try the Cherry amaretto or the Oreo and chocolate, or one of the daily specialties. Yummy!! When going to Copenhagen, take the metro (8 minute walk to the station plus a 10 minute metro ride), or take the 33 bus from around the corner and you will be on Town Hall Square in 20 minutes. Or do like a real Copenhagener and go by bike and you'll be there in around 25 minutes. As we say: I bike Copenhagen. There is also the possibility of visiting Sweden - the train leaves from the shopping mall - and you will be in Malmo, Sweden in 35 minutes. When arriving and departing from Denmark its easy. The airport is just 5 minutes away by car.
