Petrópolis City - Walking through the Petrópolis Historical Center transported us to the nineteenth century, when the Emperor Dom Pedro II spent his long summer season of about six months in the Mountains.
The city invites us to follow in the footsteps of the Emperor visiting the following historical attractions:
The Cathedral St. Peter of Alcantara, construction in French Gothic Revival style. It houses the Imperial Chapel and the remains of Dom Pedro II and Dona Teresa Cristina, d`Eu Count and Princess Isabel.
A great place to visit and learn about the Petropolitan identity is Av. Koeler, where you can enjoy the palaces in eclectic style of the nineteenth century.
The Crystal Palace was built in France in pre-molded structure of cast iron and opened in 1884 to house exhibitions of agricultural products.
The Imperial Museum, palace built in neoclassical style to be the summer residence of Dom Pedro II and Dona Teresa Cristina. Lunch break.
In the afternoon visit to the House of Ipiranga, built in 1884 by José Tavares Guerra, gardens designed by Auguste Glaziou.
Also in the Old Town, visit the Museum House of Santos Dumont, picturesque father's summer residence of aviation and the Flower Clock, built in 1972 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the independence of Brazil.
The Throne of Fatima shrine in honor of Our Lady. Fatima, has chapel and votive room.
At the exit to Rio de Janeiro, heading toward the Quitandinha Palace, built to be the largest casino hotel in South America. Its salons in Hollywood style of the 40 are open to visitors. It goes before the House of Settler Museum, built in 1847. The house with walls of wattle-and-daub, which belonged to the colonist family Johan Gottlieb German Kaiser. Before leaving, worth a good stop at the factory Patrone chocolates.
Rio de JAneiro City - From the first to the last minute of the year, not lack what to do, what to visit and to review the city of Rio de Janeiro, which not coincidentally bears the label of Wonderful. Besides the beaches and your other two geographical icons - Corcovado and Sugar Loaf - Rio has gained a number of cultural and gastronomic attractions, as well as increasing its hotel chain, since the momentum of the two major sporting events that will be protagonist : the World Cup 2014 and the 2016 Olympics.

Who leaves the capital and runs along the Rio de Janeiro coast is extremely rare beauty beaches. To the north, in the Lakes Region, are the dunes of Cabo Frio, translucent and cold waters of Arraial do Cabo, good for diving, the hype of Buzios and rural trails in Rio das Ostras. Facing the Guanabara Bay, Niteroi shows that the view of the city of Rio is not the only attraction. Besides offering in its face to the sea, perfect stretches of sand for those who want to escape the bustle of Ipanema and Copacabana, the city begins to explore the legacy of buildings signed by Oscar Niemeyer, including the famous Museum of Contemporary Art .

In the southern direction are the bucolic refinement of Paraty - whose quiet is broken only on holidays and in June when the Flip, attended literary festival - and the 365 islands in the Bay of Angra dos Reis (one for each day of the year, say ), of which the Big Island is an idyll of backpackers and foreigners. And as not only the sea makes a Rio de Janeiro, the mountain region, still recovering, home to Brazil Empire of the memories in Petropolis, the European climate of Nova Friburgo and ecological tourism on the outskirts of Teresopolis. On the border with Minas Gerais and São Paulo, the Visconde de Mauá region is target couples, mainly seeking nature, charming inns and starred restaurants.
Fascinating, São Paulo City is a superlative metropolis at all, even in diversity. Effervescent melting pot of styles and cultures where live people of over 70 nationalities, is also a great entertainment center: more than 280 cinemas, 180 theaters, more than 90 cultural centers and 110 museums, and numerous nightclubs of the many styles for one of the busiest nights of the planet. Not to mention the shopping - with 79 malls and dozens of specialized trade streets. And the food - there are more than 12,500 restaurants, with 52 types of cuisine from all over the world. For these reasons, it is very worthwhile to discover this global city, full of knowledge, trends, smells and colors.
