Notre maison

Comfy home, great place to spend with your family and friends. I love my home and I would love to exchange with people that love their homes like I do.

I love to go there with my friends, have some barbecue and go to the beach.

Each room of my home has 2 single beds and one queen bed.

The maid is a very nice lady, she works there for more than 15 years and when I go there, I give her some money to keep everything clean for the guests. So, if you exchange home with me, please give her some tip.

Localisation

Quartier

My home is located in Búzios Beach.

Location: 105 miles from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Maps)

The city entrance features the new Búzios Gates, a stylish house where you can get all the tourist information you may need, from the local tourist office employees.

The beaches, main roads and inns got new signs. It's not hard to find your way. José Bento Ribeiro Dantas Road is the main road and runs through most of the city, going from the city entrance all the way to Ossos beach. When the road reaches downtown, it is known as the famous Rua das Pedras. A bit after it becomes the pretty Bardot Beachfront, which leads to Ossos. From there you have access to Azeda Beach, one of the prettiest in Búzios.

From José Bento Ribeiro Dantas Road, before downtown, several secondary roads branch off leading to beaches such as Geribá, Tartaruga, and Ferradura, amongst others. Geribá has several access roads. The main is at the Manguinhos Square, a neighborhood that offers lots of stores, drugstores and supermarkets. Manguinhos Square is about 800 meters after the City Entrance.

Access to Ferradura Beach is by Ferradura Square, down by the Esso (Exxon) gas station. 300 meters before that, to the left, you will see the access to Tartaruga Beach.

Other important road in Búzios is the Usina Road. It leads to beautiful beaches, such as João Fernandes, Forno and Brava.

If you aren't by car, the city has mini-busses that run down the whole main road (J. B. Ribeiro Dantas Road). Transport vans also do the same course. Taxis can also be caught easily downtown to any beach or place in town. A ride from downtown (Rua das Pedras) to João Fernandes or Geribá, for example, takes about 5 minutes and costs around R$ 10.00. Another option is to take a city-tour and see several points and beaches at once. But to enjoy and get to know all the places better, the ideal is to be by car or to rent one, because though the city is relatively small, the beaches are distant from each other.

Population: about 20,000.

Clothing: Casual summer clothes in natural fabrics like cotton are most appropriate. Don't forget dress clothes (still casual) for nightlife and fine dining.
