Notre maison

Our home has four bedrooms, a family room, a dining room and a TV/living room. The main bedroom has an en-suite with a two person spa. The centre of the house is an open planned living space with kitchen, large 8 seater table and sofa where we like to entertain friends by drinking some of the many fine wines of the district and preparing food together.
We have wifi and Foxtel (satellite).
In spring, summer and autumn these gatherings quite often move to the large outdoor entertaining areas to experience the balmy and starry nights. Our garden is our favourite distraction with lawns and ponds.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Both Deb and I are teachers in our late - early 60's (going on forty). We love to travel and have already participated in a teaching exchange for one year in Yorkshire UK, in 1998. We returned again to England and France in 2002 and again 'house sat' properties of friends. We have hosted two exchanges and were guests of our Majorcan exchangee. We understand the need to respect and treat properties with the same care we would expect in return. We have two daughters, Melanie (30) and Megan (28), who also love to travel and are now heading off in their own directions. We are always on the lookout for new adventures. In winter we like to go skiing when we can and are always attracted to snow and mountains. We enjoy the cooler climates as our summers can be very warm and dry. If you are looking for a lifestyle experience in South Australia and if you love food, wine and a bit of sunshine this is the place.....
We love to travel to new places and as we get closer to retirement we are keen to see new places and old favourites such as UK, France, Spain, Italy and the Greek Islands.

Discover why the New York Times has included Adelaide as the place to visit in 2015. We live approximately 2 km from the small village of Williamstown (pop. 1500). It has all the immediate needs including Cellar doors for wine tasting, bakery, an excellent cafe for a coffee and breakfast, a post office, 2 pubs, Corner Store etc. Our property is situated on 1 hectare of native bushland with tall native pines and gum trees. The house sits in a smaller section of the property about 600 m2 which has landscaped gardens with influences from Europe, Japan and Australia. Indeed the kangaroos feel quite at home as they nibble on our lawns in the early morning. Nearby we are surrounded by 3 lakes (reservoirs) two available for kayaking & fishing, National Parks (with great walking in spring, autumn and winter) and over 60 wineries where you can sample the glorious wines of the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Eden Valley (beautiful all year round!) The Valley has number of outstanding restaurants. The city of Adelaide also with fine restaurants, shopping and beautiful safe beaches is a 60 minute drive to the south west, the surf beaches are 1.5 hours away in a southerly direction. Australia's colonial past can be found on the lazy River Murray, 60 minutes away to the east. If you wish to use the house as base you can venture north towards the beautiful desert mountains of the Flinders Ranges. If you are a golfer there are clubs in the shed and three courses within twenty minutes. I am a member at Mount Pleasant and District G. C.
