Notre maison

Our holiday home is called "Mintee on Deadman’s" and is an absolute beachfront townhouse at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island, just off the coast of Brisbane. With magnificent north-east facing ocean views from every bedroom and a new kitchen, this beautifully presented three-level townhouse is only seconds to the secluded Deadman’s beach.

One of the most sought after positions at Straddie – only a stone’s throw from Brisbane across Moreton Bay – Mintee on Deadman’s is the ideal luxury family holiday home. Well-appointed and always updated, the apartment sleeps eight with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The covered north-easterly facing deck is perfect to sit and watch the migrating whales, watch the fishermen or check the surf, or catch the summer ocean breezes or warming winter sunshine.

Mintee on Deadman’s is a sensational beachfront holiday home!

We also have a home in inner city Brisbane if that is of interest too.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a family with two teenage children. We live in Brisbane in Queensland but have a holiday home at Point Lookout at North Stradbroke Island just off Brisbane. We visit many times a year and find it is just a beautiful place all year round.

Mintee on Deadman's was my father's holiday home before he passed away. It's probably Queensland's best kept beach secret!

We love to travel the world and be active while we do - hike, swim, cycle, run.

We have successfully used homes for exchange before and love the freedom and flexibility it provides us.

Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island (Straddie) is one of Queensland's best kept beach secrets. Only accessible by car ferry and with much of the island a reserved National Park, the island's pristine beaches remain quiet and perfect.

The small surfside town of Point Lookout is the resort centre of Straddie. Point Lookout also boasts outstanding surfing beaches on the Pacific Ocean and spectacular seascape views. Situated at the northern tip of the island, Point Lookout is 20km from Dunwich and 19km from Amity - the two other small townships on the island. The Point, as it is referred to by locals has all the amenities you will need for your stay on the Island including restaurants, shops including bakery and newsagent as well as fresh seafood available daily.

Our holiday home is on the north-eastern facing Deadman's Beach and just around the corner (2 mins) from the patrolled Cylinder Beach. Everything is in easy walking distance.

Point Lookout is also Queensland's most easterly point and is one of the best locations to see the migrating humpback whales - right from our balcony.

Whale's Way is delicious and Chillers for pizza. Fins and Fries is the best fish and chips but buy fresh seafood from the Prawn Shack.
