Notre maison

The "Coffee Palace" is a former hotel built in 1855, with many beautiful heritage features and lovely gardens to enjoy.
We have 7 bedrooms, all unique and providing for a range of guests. We can change 3 of the rooms from king beds to singles if it better suits a groups configuration. The main bedroom downstairs has a lovely en-suite and dressing room and is all on one level, making it ideal for anyone with some mobility issues. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, one in the cellar and 4 upstairs.
There are multiple living rooms, with the main kitchen, meals area, formal dining room and lounge room all on the ground floor. Upstairs there is the games room, a kitchenette and a small sitting room.
For relaxing outside we have a large outdoor table on the back patio, with a BBQ and handy outside toilet. There is also a deck with nice views over the hills and a balcony running the full length of the house at the front.
The property is great for a larger group or family and we are a very successful accommodation provider with 5 star reviews. Guests love the unique character, spacious array of rooms and heart of village location with all the amenities. The house is comfortable and interesting, with plenty to entertain at home (including large games room with pool table).
Although this is a vacation home, it was our home for 15 years and reflects our love of history and feels very much like a loved family residence.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Julie is a librarian and Peter a banker, together for 30 years and have lived all over Australia. We have a wonderful 23 year old son, who may travel with us sometimes. We also run a successful accommodation business here in the Barossa Valley and are about to open our second house (currently being renovated as fast as we can paint!) We love travelling (favourite place for Julie is Venice) and rescuing old houses. We are big animal lovers, so happy to mind your pets if they are at home.

Lyndoch is a lovely village in the very popular tourist region of the Barossa Valley. We are less than a 5 minute walk to the main street with plenty of amenities. We also have a public bus stop just across the road.

The Lord Lyndoch
En soirée
Crickets chirping in the garden.
Probably in Gawler, a short drive away. We do have a local cafe though.
We have a very good, local supermarket, a few minutes stroll away.
The Barossa Valley is full of wonderful German heritage, lots of natural beauty and loads of wineries and attractions.
Their is a great walking and cycling trail a few minutes from the house.
Un peu d'exercice
I love using the cycling path, very safe, with varied level of challenge.
