Notre maison

Our unique and modern style home is nestled in a lovely suburb close to mountain bike and hiking trails. Only 11km (6.8 miles) from the central business district/downtown area. A bus stop which is 7 mins walk will take you directly into town.

From the balcony there are sweeping views of Mt. Cootha, it's also the ideal location to spot native birds and lush greenery. Living here makes you feels like you're at one with nature while still having the conveniences of the city.

The house is set over 3 levels with stairs that connect the different areas. A general level of fitness would be beneficial considering stairs and the terrain of this neighbourhood. Our open planned kitchen, breakfast nook, lounge and dining room has high ceilings and an abundance of natural light. There's even a refreshing salt water pool in the backyard! Why not take a dip? Our place is truly the perfect place to unwind after a long day exploring Brisbane and its surrounds.

Brisbane is the smaller laid back sister of Sydney & Melbourne and the gateway to stretches of pristine beaches, mountain hikes, attraction parks, arts and culture. From the house, it's a 1 hr drive north to the famous Australia Zoo. Beaches are about 1 - 1.5 hrs away, both north and south from the house. It's well worth the drive and the perfect distance for a day trip. If you'd like to keep it more local, there's Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary which is a short 9 min drive. You'll get to see all your favourite Australian animals here.

We would recommend hiring a car for your stay. This ensures you're able to explore all that South East Queensland has on offer. Welcome to beautiful sunny Brisbane!

*** We have two small dogs which are not part of the swap, they will go away on their own mini holiday or travel with us in pet friendly homes. However if you prefer having some canine company, it can be arranged for them to stay.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are two professionals in our 40s who have been living in Brisbane for 20+ years. We are considerate, quiet, clean, and are non-smokers. We appreciate art, music, theatre, literature, food, the outdoors, love to walk, take the subway and explore urban & rural landscapes. We also like road trips!

When we travel we are hoping to organise a simultaneous exchange.

Home exchange sounds like a great way to experience another environment while sharing your own! We would respect and take great care of your home.
