Notre maison

We live in a quiet, leafy, residential culdersac in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. Our home is a light and airy 3 bedroom family home with two living areas and an attached granny flat with separate access, where Sue's mother Carol lives. She will be happy to help out and give advise if she is not away with us. The house has reverse cycle air conditioning (not that you ever need a heater on the Sunshine Coast! ), 2 living areas with two flat screen TV's, ensuite with a spa plus a family bathroom with a bath. The balcony is fully roofed and underneath the house is another fully covered entertaining patio leading to the pool. There is a flat grassed area by the pool and a gate (with lock) leading directly to the park behind. Our home is only a couple of minutes from the Sunshine Motorway both North and South bound and 7 minutes drive to Mooloolaba, a popular tourist resort. We have 4 bikes available for use as well as a single and double kayak, stand up paddle board and 2 sets of golf clubs. There are many bike paths around our home and you can get to Mooloolaba beach in 20-30 minutes. It is only 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes by bike to the local supermarket, bakery, pharmacy etc. We love and care for our home as we would yours and are happy to share the joys of living here with like-minded fellow travellers.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a married couple with a 13 year old daughter. Our first home exchange was in Dec 2012 for 2 months in Madrid which we absolutely loved. We want to share our already extensive travel experiences with our daughter, who made good friends in Madrid and have since had one further exchange through Aussie House Swap in Tasmania, where we cared for goats, chickens, horses and a vegetable garden. Prior to children, I worked as a travel agent but am now studying/Mother/community volunteer and my husband is an electrician. We are happy to consider a variety of locations both overseas and within Australia. Home exchange allows the opportunity to explore local environs and immerse ourselves in the community which is just as exciting to us as touring holidays. We are even happy to consider cold, snowy locations, a welcome change from our constant warm climate. Most breaks will need to include our school holidays at Easter Mar-Apr, 20 June-17 July, 20 Sep- 6 Oct and from late November-late January.
Our car is a Honda CRV in good reliable condition which we are willing to consider for exchanges also.

Buderim is between the main Bruce highway and the beach on the Sunshine Coast, about 1 hour north of Brisbane. It is very central while maintaining it's unique village, residential atmosphere. Many beaches are close by with Mooloolaba being only 5-7 minutes drive. There are also bike paths connecting our home to the beach (about 30 minutes), university (10 minutes) and more.
The Sunshine Coast is a beach resort area and has all the usual resort facilities, parks, restaurants etc. Brisbane city, Queensland's capital, is only 1 - 1 1/2 hours drive or train journey away. Our weather is mild and sunny in winter with warmer weather from September to April. What better way to enjoy your evening than a stroll along one of the many beach paths, followed by a picnic watching the yachts and boats return to harbour as the sun goes down.
