Notre maison

Our house is open plan and I think, understated. You can have your meals on the verandah with ocean views - Although the house is only 7 minutes from Byron Bay, it offers a peaceful retreat from the exciting Byron life. It would probably be more suitable for a family with older children who could take in the "Byron culture" i.e surf/young and relaxed atmosphere

We have wooden floors throughout, carpet in the bedrooms - leather sofas. The well equipped kitchen is very functionnal. The dining table sits 8 to 10 easily and so does the undercover outdoor setting.

The 12m pool is long enough for laps but mostly for a restful lounge around !

We 2 queen beds, one double in a separate bedroom and one king single.

We have 2 bathrooms, both with bath and shower. One of the bathes is a spa bath.

We would be happy to exchange our cars (a Subaru and Audi A4).

We would be meeting up with a couple from Melbourne who would also be happy to swap their beautiful house on the Mornington Peninsula - So you'd get 2 houses in one swap !

Please be assured that we would be looking after your house with extreme care and consideration.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband and I have 4 boys (only 1 would be travelling with us as the other 3 are at Uni).

My husband is a general practionner in Ballina and I work in a Hospital. My husband is 56, Australian - I am French/Australian.

We aim to swap our house to come to France for the rugby World Cup starting in September 2007 - we would be travelling with another couple from Melbourne who could be swapping as well.

We have swapped last Christmas with a family from Auckland, New Zealand, and would be very happy to provide references.

The house is located on the ridge between Byron Bay and Bangalow, catching the cooling breezes in the summer.

It takes 7 minutes to get to Byron Bay, 7 minutes to Bangalow, 20 minutes to Lismore and 40 minutes to the Gold Coast.

It has a rural feel, with no close neighbours. The house is set on 1 acre of beautiful gardens with 2 huge Morton Bay figs, attracting black cockatoes, fruit bats and lorrikets.
